Let's go to the mall

3 oktober 2009 - New Westminster, Canada

Temperatures had fallen from 22° to 11°C in 2 days but today the sun is back! And even if it's only 15°C outside, it's perfect to walk around in the big city.
So I went downtown this afternoon to return my headphones I had purchased a week ago (Beats by Dr. Dre earbuds). The sound of the headphones were terrific but I couldn't stop feeling bad about splashing 200 CAD on them. Luckily, Apple took them back and reimbursed my money immediately =)

While I was there, I couldn't resist going to the mall (I just got reimbursed 200 CAD, got to keep the money rolling). The Bay just released the Winter Olympics official clothes collection and it was amazing to see how much merchandise they just released and how much already was sold out.
They are restocking next week so I'll probably head back 'cause I really want the black jacket.
Today I ended up spending only 100 CAD, on 2 t-shirts and a hoodie!
(Yes, that's right, I'm wearing hoodies now =D)

Shopping wise, Vancouver is a great place. The biggest mall is located in Burnaby, just 10 mins away from where I live. It's called Metrotown and contains more than 470 shops. You can easily spend a whole day there (I did anyway..). There's also Crystal Mall, which is like an Asian mall where you'll find about everything Asian related, but there are many other smaller malls everywhere.
It's a pity however that 80% of stores are filled with woman's clothing, even the "unisex" stores like Esprit, Mexx & Guess. So far, the only store I've seen that has decent clothes for men is Tommy Hilfiger. I swore once that I'd never buy anything there but I guess my choices are limited at the moment if I want to have some decent clothes.

PS: I went to the movies again yesterday. Zombieland is one of the funniest movies I've seen lately, and this comes from a person that hates zombie movies :-) It's really really silly and outrageously fun, must see!
